Russell Knox wins biggest
prize for 2nd place
on Hooters Tour

Florida-based Russell Knox from Inverness won his biggest cheque on the Hooters Tour with a tie for second place in the Hilton Garden Inn Classic at Pearl River Resort, Choctaw, Mississippi.
Knox earned $12,741 for an 11-under-par total of 273, made up of scores of 70, 67, 69 and 67.
He finished two shots behind the $33,566 winner, Grant Leaver from Tennessee, who scored 68, 65, 72 and 66 for 271.
Knox, who stayed on in America after competing on the American college golf circuit for four years as a student at Jacksonville University, Florida, is now fourth on the Hooters Tour money list with earnings of $64,074 from 18 events. He has missed the cut five times.
Another former US college circuit player, David Skinns from Lincoln, is the leading money winner on the Hooters Tour this year with a grand total of $134,809.
