SCOTS BEAT ENGLISH IN BLIND
GOLF INTERNATIONAL
Scotland beat England by a convincing margin of 15 1/2 to 8 1/2 in the 21st blind golf international three-day match at China Fleet Golf & Country Club, Saltash in Cornwall today.
The Scots took a 4 1/2-1/2 lead in the first-day foursomes and followed that up by taking the second day four-balls 4 1/2-2 1/2.
The third day's 12 singles programme was the closest of the three with the Scots edging to a 6 1/2-5 1/2 to clinch the recapture of the Auld Enemies Cup.
Next year's match will be hosted by Hamilton Golf Club.
