SCOTS FIRST AND THIRD IN PENNSYLVANIA

Neil Howitt from Nairn and Stirling's Graeme Robertson - first-year students at Davis & Elkins College, Elkins in West Virginia - finished first and third respectively in the Carnegie Mellon Invitational college golf tournament over 18 holes at Longue Vue Club, Verona in Pennsylvania.
Neil was the only player in a field of 34 to match the testing par of 70 over the 6,683yd course. He won by a shot from Jeff Varga (St Vincent College) with Robertson third on 72.
