FIDDES LEADING SCOT WITH ONE ROUND
TO GO IN PORTUGUESE SENIORS

Aberdeen's Alistair Fiddes, in 12th position, was the leading Scot with one round to go in the Portuguese senior men's amateur golf championship at Estoril Golf Club today (Friday).
Deeside member Fiddes has had rounds of 75 and 76 for a 36-hole tally of 151 - 11 shots behind joint leaders David Lane from England and Italy's Frederico Lang.
Former Walker Cup player Sandy Pirie (Hazlehead) dropped down to joint 24th place with an 82 for 157.
John Broadfoot (Turnberry) had an 80 for 163 and a share of 44th place.
