KENNETH FERRIE WINS US PGA
TOUR CARD FOR NEXT YEAR

Kenneth Ferrie, 29-year-old European Tour player from Ashington, Northumberland, has come through six gruelling rounds on the US PGA Tour Final Qualifying School at Winter Garden, Florida - and won a place alongside Tiger Woods & Co in 2008.
Ferrie, pictured right, had rounds of 69, 70, 70, 71, 69 and 67 for 16-under-par 416.
He finished joint 14th of the 26 players with final totals of 418 or better who won playing rights on the most luctrative golf circuit in the world by far.
Compatriot Greg Owen missed out. A gallant final round of two-under-par 70 was too little too late. He finished in joint 62nd place on 423.
