DAILY TELEGRAPH QUALIFIER AT CRAIL
CRAIGIELAW BOYS WIN TRIP TO LA MANGA
Craigielaw, for whom boy internationals Shaun McAllister (extreme right of two pictures) and Zack Saltman (nearest right picture) shot a seven-under-par 65 and five-under 67 gross respectively, won the Daily Telegraph home nations inter-club boys tournament’s Scottish final over the Crail Craighead course on Saturday with a total of 354, a record low for the tournament.
Eastwood (359)were second in a field of 13 teams. A full list of the totals is given below.
Craigielaw’s team now go to La Manga where they will be Scotland’s representatives against the winners of the England, Ireland and Wales finals. The tournament will be held in January.
There are six boys in each team and the team score is made up of the best scratch plus the four best net.
The other Craigielaw team members were: Michael Williams, Gordon Hillson, Sean Deegan and Grant Forrest.
