WOMEN'S HOME INTERNATIONALS
ENGLAND v WALES FOR TITLE
England, with two wins out of two this week at Frilford Heath, meet Wales on Friday's final programme with the destination of the women's home internationals title at stake.
England beat Scotland only 5-4 after leading 3-0 at the end of the rain-interrupted morning foursomes (the greens flooded and play had to be suspended for 45min).
Scotland found their form after lunch to take the singles 4-2 but it was not enough to wipe out the morning "whitewash."
Wales also won their singles 4-2 against Ireland but, having taken half a point from the morning foursomes, that was enough to earn them a 4 1/2-4 1/2 draw with the Irish.
