KEN STEVELY TESTIMONIAL PRO-AM
TONY AND STEVEN LEAD TEAMS TO
VICTORY AT CAWDER
Tony Mackrell (Gary Mitchell Golf) and Steven Bree (Cathkin Braes) were the most successful professionals at today’s Ken Stevely Testimonial pro-am at Cawder Golf Club.
No individual pro scores were returned in his two-section team event but Tony led the BWM Plant team of David Scott (12), Brian Mackie (18) and Hugh McLennan (11) to victory in the morning with an 18-under-par net total of 122. (two scores to count at each hole).
They won by three shots from Gary McFarlane (Clydebank & District) and the Cawder Draw Winners team with Stuart Kerr (Strathaven) leading his own team of amateurs into third place on 123.
In the afternoon section, Steven Bree’s Andy Chung team won by six strokes with a 24-under-par net total of 116. Elaine Chung (handicap 24) “played a blinder” and was well supported by Andy Chung (16) and Ajay Chopra (23).
Runners-up on 122 were Chris Kelly’s Wholesale Domestic team and third on 123 were the MPMH team led by Hayston pro Steven Gray.
