FUND-RAISING DINNER

GRAHAM GORDON SEEKS TO RAISE CASH
TO PLAY ASIAN TOUR, FAR-EAST EVENTS

Former Scottish amateur golf champion Graham Gordon, pictured right, is organising a fund-raising dinner in a bid to finance a trip to play on the Asian Tour and co-sanctioned European Tour events this winter in the Far East.
Former Ryder Cup player Harry Bannerman has agreed to be the guest speaker at the dinner on Friday, December 1 at The Marcliffe at Pitfodels Hotel.
Tables seating 10 are available to companies at £550. Individuals can purchase a seat at £55.
There will also be a golfing memorabilia auction.
Graham, who has been competing on the PGA EuroPro Tour, stresses that it is not a men-only evening. “Ladies are more than welcome to attend,” he says.
Reservations can be made by calling 01224 748209.
Dress code for men will be lounge suits.
The tee-off time will be 7pm for 7.30.
It is rather appropriate that Harry Bannerman is the main speaker because it was thanks to the generosity of three or four local businessmen that he had the financial platform from which to turn professional in the 1960s. The rest, as they say, is history.
