SCOTT HENDERSON IN FOURTH PLACE
AFTER TWO ROUNDS AT ST ANNES
Aberdeen Kings Links tour pro Scott Henderson heads the handful of Scots who are still on course to qualify from the European Tour Qualifying School eliminator at St Annes' Old Links, Lancashire for the penultimate stage at four venues in Spain from November 1 to 4.
Scott had a second-round 70 today for a 36-hole tally of 135, which puts him in fourth place, three behind the Irish-born leader Simon Thornton, 64 and 68 for 12-under-par 132.
Amateur Oliver Fisher, the youngest ever Walker Cup player, is lying second on 133 after a 66 and 67. Oliver is pictured right.
Other Scots who must try to maintain their positions to figure among the leading 33 and ties who will go forward to Spain include another Walker Cup man, Lloyd Saltman (138), Graeme Brown from Montrose (140), and Mark Kerr and Craig Sutherland on 141.
