Morgan Pressel will hit the opening shot of The 2019 Solheim Cup after USA Captain Juli Inkster selected her alongside Marina Alex for the first pairing in the Friday morning foursomes over the King's Course, Gleneagles in Perthshire.

As the away team, the Americans will have the honour of teeing off first in their match against Spaniard Carlota Ciganda and English rookie Bronte Law at 8:10am.

Following them will be world number three Lexi Thompson and Britanny Altomare against England’s Georgia Hall and Celine Boutier of France in match two.

Match three pits the Korda sisters, Jessica and Nelly – the first Solheim Cup siblings since Annika and Charlotta Sorenstam in 1998 – against Germany’s Caroline Masson and England’s Jodi Ewart Shadoff.

And in the fourth and final match of the Friday morning session, England’s Charley Hull and Spain’s Azahara Munoz face Megan Khang and Annie Park.

Caroline Hedwall and Suzann Pettersen are rested for Team Europe, and Danielle Kang and Ally McDonald, who was a late replacement for the injured Stacy Lewis, sit out for Team USA.
