England has named its teams for both the European Senior Men's Team Championship in Denmark and the Senior Men's Home Internationals at Alnmouth in Northumberland.

Ian Attoe (Worplesdon, Surrey), Richard Norton (Beverley and East Riding, Yorkshire), Paul Wharton (Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire), Rupert Kellock (Sunningdale, Surrey), Alan Mew (Stoneham, Hampshire) and Rich Jones (Rotherham, Yorkshire) will represent their country at the European Senior Men’s Team Championship at Rungsted Golf Club on 3-7 September with Attoe and Kellock returning having been part of the English team that finished fourth behind winners Germany 12 months ago at Diamond Country Club in Austria.
The last time England lifted the trophy was on home soil at Fairhaven Golf Club back in 2010 having also won the previous year at Ascona Golf Club in Switzerland.
The same six players have also been named in the English team for the Men’s Home Internationals at Alnmouth on 17-19 September where they will be joined by Tim Whittaker (Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire). Kellock, Attoe, Jones and Norton were all part of the English team which finished second on points behind Scotland last year at Southerness. England won previously in both 2016 and 2017.
The Senior Men’s Home Internationals is an annual round-robin competition between teams from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. It is held in each of the four countries in turn with each individual match being decided by the results from three foursomes and six singles.
The European Senior Men’s Team Championship is played over two stages. It starts with two rounds of stroke play to decide the seeds for the match play. In the match play each match is decided by the results from one foursome and four singles.
