Chapman leads The PREM Group Irish Masters at Tulfarris

Adam Chapman leads The PREM Group Irish Masters at Tulfarris Hotel and Golf Resort after day one in Ireland. 

Chapman (Windermere Golf Club) went bogey-free in an opening round of 65 (-7) to take a one-shot lead over Marco Penge heading into round two.
Penge (Golf at Goodwood) carded nine birdies with five on the front and four on the back to sit in outright place second ahead of several on tied three. 
Manuel Morugan (Chaparral Golf Club) and bogey-free Ashley Mansell (Clevedon Golf Club) are at five-under with Mansell bogey-free whilst Morugan was first out on the course this morning.
Daniel Jennevret (Dulwich and  Sydenham Hill) leads a host of players in the clubhouse on 68 (-4) that includes:

  • Mitch Waite  (Filton Golf Club)
  • Sam Locke  (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre)
  • Nick Watson  (Stoke Rochford Golf Club)
  • Michael Bullen  (Goring Electrical Services)
  • Rhys Thompson  (Boldon Golf Club)
  • George Bloor  (Cavendish Golf Club)
  • Neil Fenwick  (Dunbar Golf Club)
  • Jonathan Caldwell  (Clandeyboye Golf Club)
  • George Woolgar  (GFC)
  • Ashton Turner  (Kenwick Park Golf Club)
Niall Kearney (The Royal Dublin Golf Club) is tied 20th at two-under with other Irishmen Peter Williamson (Woodcote Park Golf Club), Brendan McCarroll (West Cliffs Golf Links) and Brian Casey (HYL / Headfort Golf Club). 
The Irish U16 boys 2019 champion Joe Byrne was one-under through nine before finishing two over. 

TOMORROW 

The cut will be made at 50 players plus ties which currently sits at level par after the opening day in County Wicklow.
Entry is free to watch at Tulfarris Hotel and Golf Resort. Come and enjoy watching some of the rising stars of the game at no cost.
