Alistair Thomson wins North Scottish Alliance title after three-man play-off

 

Inverness Golf Club professional Alistair Thomson (Inverness) came out on top after two holes of a three-man play-off to win the North Scottish Golfers' Alliance championship on Saturday contested by a field of 100 players at a very windy Moray Golf Club's links at Lossiemouth.

After missing a three-footer on the 18th green to win the title outright over the regulation distance, Alistair played the first and last holes of the play-off with 4-3 figures against Darren Pitchforth (Moray) and fellow Inverness professional David Grindell to claim the Sir Hugh Mackenzie Trophy.
