American Nelly Korda becomes fourth member of her family to win an Australian Open title.

The 20-year-old held her nerve to lead throughout the final round of the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open at The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide today, posting a final round 67 to be 17-under for the tournament.
Korda held off fast finishing defending champion Jin-Young Ko who shot the low round of the week – an 8-under 64 – to finish two shots back at 15-under.
Wei-Ling Hsu was third on 12-under. Hannah Green and Sarah Kemp were the best placed Australians on 8-under in a tie for 10th.
The win, her second on the LPGA tour, will move Korda into the top 10 in the world rankings from 16, leapfrogging her sister Jessica in the process.
Former Czech tennis player Petr Korda won the 1998 Australian Open singles title in 1998 six months before his daughter Nelly was born. The 20-year-old’s sister Jessica won the Australian Women’s Golf Open in 2012 and her tennis-playing brother Sebastian, 18, won the 2018 Australian Open junior title.
Just minutes after Korda holed her final putt on the 18th hole to clinch the championship, her brother began playing in the final of a Futures Tour tennis tournament final in Turkey.
