Four Scots finish in top 10 against strong opposition at Fortrose and Rosemarkie

Four Scots - two from Blairgowrie - finished in the top 10 against strong Continental opposition at the Scottish Under-16 boys' open championship at Fortrose and Rosemarkie.
Mattep Cristoni from Italy was the winner by two strokes with scores of 67, 70, 69 and 67 for a nine-under-par aggregate of 275.
Welsh boy Connor Owen (Aberdovey) was runner-up on 277 ahead of France's
Martin Couvra (279)
Blairgowrie's Cormac Sharpe, Cameron Adam (Royal Burgepss), Cameron Johnstone (Troon Welbeck) and Gregor Graham (Blairgowrie) all shot two-under-par 69 in their final rounds to make the top 10.
Newmachar's Evan Orr started the final day's 36 holes with a fair chance of a top 20 finish but he dropped to a joint 35th placing with closing rounds of 74 and 77 for 294.
