MICHELE THOMSON GETS HER FIRST  ACE AS A PROFESSIONAL   

 Ellon's Michele Thomson holed out with a seven-iron from 164yd at the par-3 14th in the first round of the LET's Thailand Ladies Championship at Phoenix Golf and Country Club today (Thursday).

 It was the Meldrum House player's first ace as a professional. She had two as an amateur.

 Michele finished with a 73 to be T46 at the end of the day, six shots behind joint leaders Anne Van Dam (Netherlands) and Thailand's Aunchisa Utama.

 Vikki Laing had a 72 to be sharing 24th place overnight.
