Kamran Zeynalov's team win North-east Alliance pro-am at Portlethen with 20-under total of 124

Portlethen Golf Club tour pro Kamran Zeynalov, born in Azerbaijan in eastern Europe, led his team of Ross McNeill (Westhill), Kevin Bedborough (Deeside) and Richard Ruddiman (Royal Aberdeen) to an impressive seven-stroke victory with a 20-under-par total of 124 in the North-east Golfers Alliance pro-am over the Portlethen course today (Thu).
Zeynalov then paid tribute to the contributions made by his three amateurs who have handicaps ranging from five to nine.
"My own score was three-under-par 69 so that shows you how well my team-mates played. They had lots of net birdies in halves of 61 and 63," said 25-year-old Kamran who earned £150 while Messrs McNeill, Bedborough and Ruddiman received £100 vouchers.
They won by seven shots from Newmachar tour pro John Duff's team of John Borthwick (Craibstone), Alan Gall (Deeside) and Mike Smith (Newmachar). Duff had the best individual round of eight-under 64 with eagle 3s at the fourth and 18th plus birdies at the first, second, ninth and 13th.
