Snow and frost rules out NE Alliance fixture at Cruden Bay
Some overnight snow and freezing temperatures resulted in the cancellation of today's North-east Golfers' Alliance competition at Cruden Bay Golf Club.
It was the fourth cancellation of an Alliance event in the 2017-2018 season, the worst "casualty rate" for many years, underlining the severity of the current winter weather.
The fixtures called off have been Kemnay (rain: September 13), Buckpool (frost, January 17), Royal Tarlair (frost, January 24) and Cruden Bay (frost/snow, February 7).
