Sam Locke moves up to jt fifth in S African stroke-play

Scottish champion Sam Locke from Stonehaven shot one of the best scores of the third round - a seven-under-par 65 - to move up to a share of fifth place in the South African men's amateur stroke play golf championship at Pecanwood Golf and Country Club today.
Locke has had one bogey over the first 54 holes. His 65 was another blemish-free round with birdies at the second, fourth, fifth, seventh, 12th, 13th and 17th.
With a 14-under-par tally of 202, Sam trails South African leader Oliver Gillberg (67-67-64) by nine strokes with 18 holes to play.
Cawder's Calum Fyfe slipped back to a share of 16th place with a 71 for 205, three ahead of Darren Howie (Peebles) who had a 70 to be sharing 30th place.
