STUDENT FROM ABERDEEN MAKES TOP
 
25 AT USA COLLEGE TOURNAMENT

Aberdeen's Adam Fisher, a former Cults Academy pupil, finished joint 25th in a field of 75 players this week at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate tournament at Hattiesburg Country Club, Mississippi, writes Colin Farquharson.
Over a par-71 course of 6,902yd, Fisher, also pictured left, had scores of 70, 76 and 72 for a total of 218. A third-year student at Missouri State University, Fisher had an eagle 2 at the 354yd 12th hole and two birdies in his final round.
Team-mate Brad Carpenter won the event with a total of 211 (73-69-69) but Missouri State (864) could finish only fifth in a field of 12 teams. Sam Houston University beat UT Arlington in a play-off for the title after they tied on 857.
