Nick Robson back in form to lead Seniors'


qualifying round by two at Alyth

Aberdeen businessman Nick Robson (Meldrum House) returned to form at Alyth Golf Club today (Monday) with a three-under-par score of 67 in perfect golfing weather for the first qualifying round of the Scottish Senior Golfing Society's match-play championship.
Robson birdied the short third, eighth, long 11th, short 17th and 18th in halves of 33 (one under) and 34 (two under). He bogeyed the fifth and 13th.
He leads by two strokes from David Logie (Craigie Hill) and former Aberdeen Links champion Stewart Finnie (Caledonian).
Logie had four birdies in halves of 34-35 while Finnie had three in 33-36 figures.
The 32 players with the lowest 36-hole totals after Tuesday's second round will go forward to contest the match-play championship at Alyth from Wednesday to Friday.
