Jeff Wright wins the Forres 36 hole Open
A total of 56 players took part in the Brodie and Forsyth 36-hole Forres Open on Saturday at Forres golf course.
Forres golfer Jeff Wright won the Brodie trophy by four shots with excellent rounds of 66 and 67 for a 7 under par total of 133
Jeff bogeyed his opening hole but then did not drop another shot over his final 35 holes
Bryan Fotheringham (Forres) was second with rounds of 72 and 65, David Joel (Inverness GC) third with rounds of 68 and 70 and Robert McKerron (Forres) fourth with rounds of 65 and 75.
The Forsyth Trophy, for the best handicap scores was won by 5 handicapper Lewis Fraser (pictured right) from Inverness GC with a nett total of 135
Forres golfer Colin Young, playing off nine, finished second with a 136 total.
