Poulter and Donald miss the cut at the Texas Open




Martin Laird T10 at halfway after 67 for 139


Scot Martin Laird is well in the mix at the halfway stage of the Valero Texas Open with rounds of 72 and 67 for 139 and an early T4 position, three strokes behind leader Bud Cauley (USA) who has scored 70 and 66 for 136. Laird finished the day in T10 position.
Cauley leads by one from Australian Cameron Smith (72-65).


Ian Poulter, needing a high finish to keep his US PGA Tour playing rights, failed to make the cut at 144 and better. He had rounds of 75 and 71 for 146. Another high profile Englishman who failed was Luke Donald with rounds of 76 and 72 for 148.
A third Englishman to miss the cut was Greg Owen on 145 (71-74).
