Top 20 finish by Ewen Ferguson in Egypt

Ewen Ferguson finished joint 17th on three-under-par 213, 10 shots behind the Dutch winner, Lars Van Meijel, of the Alps Tour's Red Sea Little Venice Open at Sokhna Golf Club, Egypt today (Wed).

The Bearsden player, pictured, who earned 444 euros, had rounds of 69, 74 and 70 compared with the winner's 69, 66 and 68 which earned Van Meijel 5,000 euros.
Daniel Young from Perth had scores of 72, 70 and 72 for a total of two-under 214 and a share of 22nd place. He earned 405 euros.
Jame Savage had a poor last round of 76 after earlier efforts of 70 and 72. The Cawder man tied for 33rd place on 218 and earned 320 euros.
Troon's Jack McDonald (74-71 for 145) and Joe Knox (71-82 for 153) missed the 36-hole cut which was at 144 and better.
