U.S. amateur champion Curtis Luck signs with IMG but will play in Masters as an amateur

CLEVELAND, OHIO (January 30, 2017) – U.S. Amateur champion Curtis Luck has signed with IMG for worldwide management and marketing representation.
The 20-year-old Australian is currently the No. 2 ranked golfer in the world according to the World Amateur Golf Rankings. In 2016, he won the U.S. Amateur Championship, earning exemptions for the 2017 Masters Tournament and U.S. Open Championship, as well as the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship.
Luck also won the Western Australian Open on the PGA Tour of Australasia and was a member of the victorious Australian team at the World Amateur Team Championship.
“I’m delighted to be signing with the team at IMG,” said Luck. “The brand speaks for itself in terms of the players they represent and all the great events they run. Their global network of offices gives me confidence that I will be well looked after as I travel round the world.”
NOTE: The Rules of Golf were amended in 2012 to permit an amateur golfer to enter into a contract with a professional agent in relation to the golfer’s future as a professional - Rule 2-2 of the Rules of Amateur Status.
