Peterculter Golf Club scrap joining and membership fees for children under 12 years

Peterculter Golf Club has decided to remove all joining fees and membership fees for juniors under the age of 12.  The club's current membership fee for 13 to17-year olds is only £50 per year (also no joining fee).

We felt that by removing these barriers we could encourage more juniors  to join the club and give them an opportunity to try some golf.  
I will  be visiting some local schools in the early part of next season to  deliver some fun sessions and try to get more youngsters into the game.
We have a successful junior coaching programme which runs for 20 weeks for only £50 so it is very good value but over the years the numbers have been falling.  
We would like to see these increase and hopefully these steps will make the difference.
