Nitithorn off to flying start Asian Tour Q School

but Rory McNamara has a lot of ground to make up

 

Bangkok, December 28: Thailand’s Nitithorn Thippong fired a five-under-par 67 to lead in the first round of the Qualifying School Section A at Windsor Park Golf Club today.
He traded seven birdies against two bogeys to lead by one shot from Brian Jung of Canada and Dino A Giacomazzi of the United States. 
Ireland's Rory McNamara shot a 75 to be T32 in the field of 56 players.
A total of 12 players and ties from Windsor at the end of four rounds will qualify for the all-important Final Stage.
