Stirling University finish 12th as bad weather 

wipes out final day's play at Yale Invitational

Stirling University women's golf team were denied an opportunity to achieve a top-10 finish in the Yale University Women's Invitational when the last day's play was cancelled because of "inclement weather" at New Haven, Connecticut.
Stirling were on the 597 mark, in12th place in a field of 19 teams after 36 holes, and that turned out to be their final position.
Columbia (581) were the winners, ahead of  Boston College (582), Yale (585) and Harvard (588).
The individual scores of the Stirling team were:
149 Tara Mactaggart 76 73, Sinead Sexton 76 73.
150 Jennifer Saxton 75 75, Gemma Batty 75 75
152 Chloe Goadby 78 74.
Stirling men's team finished second in the corresponding Yale University Men's Invitational the week before last.
