Nigg Bay win Dalswinton Trophy for first time

Nigg Bay team members: Zac Wood Lee O'Connor and Gary Stewart. The fourth member of the winning team, Tyler Ogston, did not think that Nigg Bay were going to win, so he left the clubhouse early. That is why Tyler is not in the picture.

Nigg Bay Golf Club have won the Deeside Golf Club's Dalswinton Trophy inter-club double foursomes tournament at the Bieldside course for the first time.
Zach Wood, Tyler Ogston, Gary Stewart and Lee O'Connor combined for a 36-hole total of 297, made up of 153 in the first round and 144 in the second.
The men from Balnagask won by a single shot from Royal Aberdeen's Mark Halliday, Nick and Donald Macandrew, and Daniel Sim who had round totals of 152 and 146.
McDonald Ellon, Newmachar and Murcar Links tied for third place on 304.
Lewis Shand (Portlethen) had a hole in one at the 14th in the first round as he and his partner Jack Douglas went round in 67, matching the course record. To do it in alternate-shot play was a very fine effort.

Never mind that they took 81 shots to get round in the afternoon!
