Nairn start Northern Counties Cup defence with big-margin win over Eriskay

Nairn, despite lacking two of last year's title-winning team,Sandy Scott and Bruce Thomson, made an impressive start to their defence of the Northern Counties Cup at Royal Dornoch Golf Club today.
The team of four chalked up the double foursomes match-play tournament's biggest winning margin in years, beating Eriskay by 15 holes.
Moray, on the other hand, had one of the toughest matches, against Murcar Links. The match went right down to the last pair on the last hole where Kyle Godsman holed a 10 foot putt to put the Lossiemouth men through.
Nairn Dunbar, last year's beaten finalist,  advanced by beating a strong Duff House Royal team by three holes.
