Jock MacVicar made a Life Member of Golf
Writers' Association
Jock MacVicar, Scottish Daily Express and Sunday Express golf writer for half a century, has been made a
Life Member of the Association of Golf Writers.
Martin Dempster (The Scotsman and Edinburgh Evening News) spoke
warmly of Jock’s long-time contribution in reporting on Scottish golf.
Jock's father was also a writer, Angus MacVicar, who wrote books rather than golf reports. Jock comes from Southend on the Mull of Kintyre and, like Belle Robertson, is a member of Dunaverty ... or "Royal Dunaverty," as Jock likes to call it.
