Lawrie, Lyle and MacDonald help Royal

Dornoch celebrate 400 years of golf

NEWS RELEASE
One of the most exciting events of Royal Dornoch Golf Club's 400- year celebrations is to be a mixed exhibition match with golf legends Paul Lawrie, Sandy Lyle and Ladies Golf Tour Professional
Kelsey Macdonald.

This nine-hole exhibition match will be played over the Royal Dornoch Championship Course  on Tuesday,  July 5, teeing off at 1pm.
Paul, Sandy and Kelsey will be playing in the company of 12 juniors who are the best from the Junior Section of the Club, during which they will be passing on their knowledge, while the spectators will get the chance to watch how three of the world’s top professionals tackle some of the holes on the Championship Course.
Royal Dornoch anticipates that the unique format of the three professionals playing with four  juniors each for three holes, and then swapping so that every junior gets to play with all of the pros, will allow the juniors to gain help and feedback about the game of golf, while the professsionals can show both juniors and spectators the breadth of their talent.
As part of the Club’s 400 Celebration Gala, golf dignitaries from around the world, local representatives, club members, locals and golfing enthusiasts are invited to watch this exceptional
event.
