Did Ben Stow win play-off on Med Tour? Let

us know if you can confirm this

By COLIN FARQUHARSON
England's Ben Stow and Spain's Dani Alonso tied on six-under-par 210 at the end of this week's 54-hole competition - the Allegrian Open - on the Mediterranean Golf Tour at the Greg Norman-designed Allegria course, West Cairo.

We don't know for certain that Stow won a sudden-death play-off but we suspect that this is the case because the tournament website lists Stow (pictured)  as first and Alonso as second.
You would think that the organisers would try to get the play-off result on their website, wouldn't you.
If you have any information that confirms that Ben Stow won the play-off, please let us know at Colin@scottishgolfview.com
Stow hails from Salisbury and spent four years playing the US men's college circuit as a student at Kentucky University
Alonso, by the way, had a hole-in-one on Sunday, so that came in handy in elevating him to six-under-par for the tournament with scores of 67, 71 and 72. Stow's rounds were 69, 66 and 75.
The pair finished a stroke ahead of the third-placed competitor, Spain 's Xavi Puig (71-70-70)
Ben Craggs, son of coach Kevin Craggs, and Aberdeen-born Clarke Lutton tied for the "honour" of being the leading Scots in the field of 40.
Both hit the 216 par mark, Craggs with scores of 70, 74 and 72; Lutton with a hat-trick of 72s. They finished tied seventh behind Stow and Alonso.
Fraser Moore, who played out of Glenbervie when he was an amatuer, finished next on 217 with scores of 74, 71 ad 72 for a share of 12th place.
Anglo-Scot Craig Sutherland shot 74-72-77 fpr 223 and 27th place.
Conor O'Neil's first round of 79 was followed by scores of 73 and 72 for 224 and a T28 finish.
