Craig Ross, the No 2 seed, is the only Scot through to the
quarter-finals of the South African men's amateur championship at
He
beat Fezekile Kana (South Africa) 3 and 2 in Wednesday mornng's second
round and then won on the 18th green against Paul Kinnear (Formby).
Kinnear was one up on the 17th tee but Ross won the last two holes with
par figures.
Calum
Fyfe (Cawder) beat South African Alistair Snowdon 5 and 4 in the
second round but then lost 3 and 2 to England's Jamie Bower (Meltham).
Sandy Scott (Nairn) went down by 3 and 2 to South African Albert Venter in the second round.
