Wallace Booth almost eliminates the negative

at Alicante with a 69 for T11 position

 By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Perthshire tour professional Wallace Booth improved by seven strokes with a second-round, three-under-par 69 to be in joint 11th place with one round to go in the Spanish Evolve Pro Tour 54-hole event at Lo Romero Golf Club, Alicante.
Booth eliminated most of the costly mistakes of the first day with five birdies - third, ninth, 10th, 11th and long 17th - in halves of 35 and 34. His two bogeys came at the fourth and short 15th.
He is five shots behind the joint leaders, Lasse Sonne Nielsen (Denmark) (70-70) and Germany's Florian Frisch (71-69).
There is a field of 45 players.
