Scot Clarke Lutton makes it to Asian Tour

Final Q School right on the limit mark

Aberdeen-born Clarke Lutton advanced today from theAsian Tour School Stage 1 eliminator to next week's Final Q School in Thailand.
Lutton did it with nothing to spare at Springfield Royal Golf Club, one of the four Thailand venues used to produce 92 qualifiers to join the exempt players next week when the top 40 and ties will gain playing rights on the 2016 Asian Tour.
A winner last year on the MENA Tour, Lutton, pictured,  had scores of 72, 73, 68 and 74 for a total of 287.  His fourth round included a quadruple bogey 8 at the second hole but birdies at the first, fifth and sixth enabled to finish in tied 22nd position at Springfield Royal Country Club, Hua Hin.
In the Scot's favour is the fact that Springfield Royal is one of the two venues for the Final Q School. Imperial Lakeview  CC is the other
Banchory's James Byrne was eliminated in the second-round cut.
