Lawrence of Kemnay-sponsored North-east Alliance at Fraserburgh

CRAIG LAWRIE AND KEVIN DUNCAN JOINT WINNERS WITH 5-UNDER 65s

Craig Lawrie (PLGC) and Kevin Duncan (Cruden Bay) tied today at a sunny Fraserburgh, with a five under par score of 65. A turnout of 97 players enjoyed Fraserburgh's Corbie Hill links in the Lawrence of Kemnay-sponsored North-east Alliance fixture. It is Lawrie's second win of the season, having tied with John Duff at Newmachar in September, and the third win of the North East Alliance season for Duncan - following victory at Craibstone and Turriff, also in September.  
Craig's card started with a bogey five, cancelled out by a birdie at the long 6th - but his back nine, which started with four straight birdies, must have shot him up the leaderboard before a final birdie at the long 15th got him to 5 under.
Duncan's card also started with a bogey five but was offset by birdies at 3, 9, 10, 13, 16 and an eagle at the long 15th - a bogey at the short 14th was the only other blemish on his scorecard. Lawrie and Duncan's score of 65 was good enough to be two cleared of the three way tie for third place - with John Duff (Newmachar), Paul Lawrie (Carnegie Club) and Greig Hutcheon (PLGC) posting 3 under par scores of 67.
