Banchory have won the Aberdeen and District Pennant League championship for the first time - only five years after entering the tournament for the first time.
They beat title-holders Murcar Links by 3.5 to 1.5 at  Hazlehead's Mackenzie Championship Course today.
The outcome was still in doubt with Banchory leading 2-1 with two matches in the double better-ball foursomes format still to finish.
Both the fourth and fifth ties went to the 18th green. David Brown and Colin Lindsay added a half-point to the Banchory total with a square match against Jim Henderson and Ken Gunnyeon.
Then Jack Harling and Lindsay Smart clinched an overall Banchory triumph with a one-hole win over Gregor Stewart and Alan Holbrook.
The capture of the Aberdeen Pennant League title compensated Banchory to some degree for their defeat earlier in the season in the final of another double foursomes tournament, the Maitland Shield. Banchory also beat Murcar Links in that event, in the first round but lost in the final to Newmachar.
Both the Maitland Shield and the Aberdeen and District Pennant League are sponsored by the Douglas Hotel's Molly's Bistro.
 Results:
MURCAR LINKS 1.5, BANCHORY 3.5
B Innes and A Styles lost to A Lindsay and S Locke 4 and 3.
A Bews and C Stewart bt R Black and M Gordon 1 hole.
N McKinnon and R Brechin lost to D Brand and C Lindsay 3 and 2.
J Henderson and K Gunnyeon halved with R Gray and S Larkin.
G Stewart and A Holbrook lost to J Harling and L Smart 1 hole.
