Jonathan Torrance is new Lanarkshire boys' match-play  champion after epic final

Jonathan Torrance of Drumpellier is the new Lanarkshire Boys Matchplay Champion for 2015. In an epic final he beat current boy international Andrew Thomson of Lanark at the 9^th extra hole. The boys could not be separated in the regulation 18 with never more than one hole in it. 

Extra holes produced eight consecutive pars for both boys before a bogey from Andrew at the ninth presented Jonathan with a three foot putt for the title which he duly holed. Indeed a truly memorable final similar to the men’s final earlier in the month.
