French player wins St Andrews boys' open
 
France's David Ravetto, conqueror of Kyle Reid (Balmore) in the quarter-finals, won the St Andrews Boys Open scratch competition for the Merchants Cup over the Old Course today.
He beat the No 1 seed from Japan, Yuki Shino, by one hole in the final.Shino had KOd Carluke's Graeme Greer by 3 and 1 in the morning semi-finals
The St Andrews Junior Ladies Open was won by the 12th qualifier, Aimee Field from Hagley Golf Club, Worcestershire.

After toppling the No 1 seed, Yu Eun Eunice Kim from Australia, Field beat  Jessica Field, the No 3 seed from Kirby Muxloe Golf Club, Leicestershire, by 3 and 1 in the final.
The Girls' Quaich tournament was won by Jasmine Pnaiser from Handsworth, Birmingham. She beat Porscha Wilson (Burntisland) 6 and 4 in the final.

Semi-finals - Yuki Shino (Japan) bt Graeme Greer (Carluke) 3 and 1; David Ravetto (France) bt Marc Rodriguez Carassou (France) 2 and 1.
Final - Ravetto bt Shino 1 hole.
ST ANDREWS JUNIOR LADIES OPEN
Semi-finals - Aimee Field (Hagley_ bt Yu Eun Eunice Kim (Australia) 4 and 3; Jessica Bailey (Kirby Muxloe) bt Hannah Robb (Scotscraig) 1 hole.
Final - Field bt Bailey 3 and 1.
ST ANDREWS GIRLS QUAICH
Semi-finals - Jasmine Pnaiser (Handsworth) bt Katie Liddle (Glenbervie) 3 and 2; Porscha Wilson (Burntisland) bt Rebecca Watkins (Falkirk Tryst) 2 holes
Final - Pnaiser  bt Wilson 6 and 4
