Christopher Currie wins Aberdour pro-am

Currie wins Aberdour pro-am despite double bogey at 16

Christopher Currie (Caldwell) won the top pro prize of £833 with a four-under-par round of  63 in the Aberdour pro-am.
It was his second win of the season and he had two strokes to spare at the finish over three players sharing second place - Chris Kelly (unattached), Stephen Gray (Hayston) and Jason McCreadie (Largs).
Currie. after birdies at the fourth, sixth, eighth, 10th, 13th and 14th, was six under par with three holes to play but ran up a double bogey 6 at the 16th in halves of 30-33.
Kelly would have matched Currie's 63 but for two late bogeys, at the 15th and 18th, while Gray had the best inward half of 30, with birdies at the 10th,14th, 15th and 17th. He had bogeyed the first and sixth.
McCreadie had halves of 33-32. The joint runners-up earned £513 each
