Scots boys and girls finish well down the field 

at European Young Masters

Jamie Stewart (Old Ranfurly) and Peebles' Darren Howie finished 30th and tied 39th respectively in the European Young Masters tournament for Under-16 year olds at Domaine Imperial Golf Club, near Geneva, Switzerland.
Both boys had their worst rounds on the third day.
Stewart shot 74, 77 and 79 for a 14-over-par total of 230 while Howie had scores of 73, 77 and 86 for 236.
The boys' winner was Marcus Braadlie (Norway) with a fine aggregate of five-under-211.
Jillian Farrell (Cardross) and Jennifer Rankine (Haggs Castle) finished joint 29th and 47th respectively in the girls event.
Jillian scored 82, 74 and 78 for 234
Jennifer's rounds were 84, 86 and 81 for 251.
French girls finished first and second with Pauline Roussin-Bouchard totalling 214 - five ahead of runner-up Charlotte Lafourcade.
Hollie Muse, the Scottish U16 girls' open stroke-play champion, finished joint sixth on 223,
Not surprisingly France won the team event which combined the boys and the girls' scores.
France won with a total of 645 with Belgium (653) second and Finland third on 658.
England (670) were seventh, Wales 687) 18th, Ireland (689)  19th and Scotland (695) 20th in a field of 27 teams.
