Cameron Black wins Under-14s title after playing in Under-18 event the previous day
Cameron Black (Royal Aberdeen) won the Paul Lawrie North-east District Under-14s championship at the Bieldside course with a round of 73 today, one fewer than runner-up Liam Waldron (Kintore).
Black had played two rounds in the Under-18s stroke-play over a longer course (from the white tees) on Thursday - the U14s played off the forward blue tees - and felt it helped him win the Under-14s' scratch title.
Jamie
Gibb (Aboyne), playing off 19, won the handicap trophy with a net 68
and another Aboyne player, Daniel Aitken, who plays off 24, won the Under-12s scratch
prize with a 94 gross.
