 Kenny Gallacher retains Lanarkshire title


Kenny Gallacher (East Kilbride) has retained the Lanarkshire county championship title at East Kilbride Golf Club. 
Kenny tied with Ed Wood (Crow Wood) after 36 holes with identical scores of 69,71. 
In marathon sudden-death play-off Kenny won at the fifth extra hole by holing a 15ft putt for a birdie.
 The top eight available players will go into match-play on Tuesday night at East Kilbride.

Cameron Bloomer is new Lanarkshire youths champion
 Cameron Boomer of East Kilbride shot 75 and 69  for a total of  144 to win Lanarkshire Golf Association youths championship
which is run in conjunction with Lanarkshire county championship.
Cameron, aged 19, is currently on a golf scholarship from an American college..
Runner-up was 17-year-old John Woodhouse  -  also of East Kilbride - who shot 74  71  145.
