Link to live scoring at EuroPro Tour

Good start by Lloyd Saltman and Borrowman,

but not so good for other Scots

The PGA EuroPro Tour season started well for some Scots, Lloyd Saltman and Scott Borrowman in particular, with  four-under-par 65s, but badly for others, like Kris Nicol and Sam Kiloh with 75s, Mark Rae 77 and Craig Lawrie 78.
Only the top 50 and ties in a huge field of 167 after 36 holes will go through to the final round and level par 138 is the projected limit mark.
Saltman, with halves of 33-32, had birdies at the second, third, fifth, 10th, 11th and 15th. He dropped shots only at the sixth and 18th to be three behind the pacemaking Irishman, Alan Dunbar, who covered the inward half in a only 27 shots for a seven-under 62.
Late in the day - after 8pm - rookie pro Scott Borrowman from Dollar came in with a 65, which included six birdies.
Saltman and Borrowman head the Tartan Army in joint seventh place.
Greg McBain did best of the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre entries. He shot a 67 with birdies at the sixth, 11th, 14th and 17th in halves of 35-32. He is in joint 19th place alongside West Linton's Welsh tour pro Gareth Wright also had a 67.
Neil Fenwick (Dunbar) came home in 33 for a par-matching 69, the same score as Jordan McColl (Kingsbarns). They are joint 46th which is just about the borderline for making the cut.
Neil Henderson (Renaissance) had a 70 to be T62 overnight.
Former Scottish amateur champion Chris Robb (Meldrum House) from Banchory salvaged a two-over 71, thanks to an eagle 2 at the par-4 17th, having double-bogeyed the par-4 10th and birdied the ninth in halves of 36-35.
Zack Saltman also had a 71 as did Danny Kay (Renaissance.
Paul Doherty, based in South Wales, and Michael Patterson (Kilmacolm) both had 72s, one ahead of Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) who was five over par after only five holes..
The Paul Lawrie GC pair, Sam Kiloh and Kris Nicol, finished up on the same 75 mark by different routes. Kiloh had halves of 38-37 with a double bogey 7 at the third and only one birdie, at the seventh. Nicol had halves of 36-39.
Mark Rae (Aberdeen Door Systems) shot a 77 (38-39).
Craig Lawrie had two 7s in halves of 39 for a 78. He had a double bogey at the long fifth and a triple bogey at the par-4 12th. He did birdie the ninth and 17th.
