Millar wins four-man play-off for last place in 

Galvin Green assistants championship qualifier

Ross Millar (Kings Acre) won a four-man play-off with a par at the fourth extra hole to claim the last of the 16 places at stake in the Galvin Green assistants' championship Scottish qualifying competition in high winds at Auchterarder Golf Club today.
Millar was one of four players on the limit mark of four-over-par 73.
In a sudden-death play-off, he outlasted Fraser Robertson (Lundin), Stuart Milne (Balbirnie Park) and Murray Patterson (Cruden Bay).
The 16 qualifiers go forward to the assistants championship at Coventry Golf club from August 5 to 7.
In the windy conditions and very soft underfoot fairways, two par rounds of 69 were good enough to top the qualifiers. They were achieved by Cameron Marr (Musselburgh) and Jordan Brown (Dumfries and County). Cameron had halves of 38-31, Jordan 36-33.
The surprise non-qualifier was Paul O'Hara (Clydeway Golf) with a 77. He had a double bogey at the first and another one at the 15th in halves of 42-35 although Paul did birdie the second, 10th, 13th and 17th.
