 Sandy Scott leads the Tartan Army in Peter McEvoy Trophy

Sandy Scott (Nairn) is the leading Scottish player at the halfway stage of the Peter McEvoy Trophy 72-hole boys' stroke-play championship at Copt Heath Golf Club, Solihull.
Scott shot rounds of 74 and 69 for 143 and 12th place, seven shots behind the pacemaking Marco Penge (Goodwood) who has scored 65 and 71 for 136 and a two-stroke lead.
Will Porter (Carnoustie) did not have a happy day in his first tournament since winning the Scottish boys championship on Saturday. He shot 78 and 76 for 154 and is 63rd at the halfway stage
Boyd with aggregates of 149 and over missed the cut
