SCOTS DUMP DUTCH TO WIN UNDER-16s QUADRANGULAR
Scotland
thrashed the Netherlands 9-3 in today's (SUNDAY) title decider at the
Under-16 boys' quadrangular golf match at Archerfield Links.
The Scots boys topped the final table with two wins and a draw.
A
home win was always on the cards when the Scots lads took the morning
foursomes 3-1 against the Dutch. They continued on a high by winning the
singles 6-2.
The future looks good for future Scottish Golf Union teams!
Ireland, who beat Wales 8-4 in the other closing match, were runners-up with one win and two draws.
Results:
Friday - Netherlands 7.5, Wales 4.5; Scotland 6, Ireland 6.
Saturday - Scotland 8, Wales 4; Netherlands 6, Ireland 6.
