Fox and Reid win for eighth time

Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf) and West Lothian Golf Club professional Alan Reid continued their extraordinary dominance of the PGA in Scotland's four-ball, better-ball series over the Buddon Course, Carnoustie today.
In this, the 11th and last of the series, Fox and Reid shot an eight-under-par 60 to win by two strokes from joint runners-up Terry Mathieson (Murcar Links) and Greg McBain (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre), and Stuart Syme (Drumoit) and Paul Wytrazek (Burntisland).
It was Fox and Reid's eighth win in partnership. They won the first three better-ball competitions in early February and have not looked back. Fox has also had a win with Ross Dixon when Reid had the flu and was unavailable.
Fox and Reid were out in 31 (three under par) and back in 29 (five-under) with better-ball birdies at the second, fifth, eighth, 11th, 13th, 15th, 16th and 18th.
With a smaller field at the Angus venue, the winners' cash prize was restricted to £350.
The runners-up earned £220 per pair.
